Questions families ask us
Straight answers, no jargon. If yours isn’t here, reach out — a person replies within one business day.
Is there a waitlist for ABA therapy at Cove ABA?
No. Cove ABA has open capacity and families hear back within one business day. We are built for families who have been told to wait.
What areas does Cove ABA serve?
We provide in-home ABA therapy across Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx, and Nassau County, New York.
What insurance does Cove ABA accept?
We are in-network with a variety of plans commonly used by New York families, including Medicaid, Aetna, Anthem Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon Behavioral Health, EmblemHealth, UnitedHealthcare (Optum), and Cigna Behavioral (Evernorth). See the full list on our insurance page. Networks change often — if your plan is not listed, reach out and we may still be able to help.
What ages do you serve?
We primarily support young children through the early school years, when intervention makes the biggest difference. If you’re unsure whether your child’s age is a fit, ask us — the answer is one message away.
Do you have therapists who speak my family’s language?
Yes — our team includes therapists who speak Spanish, Mandarin, and Hindi. Matching your child with a therapist who speaks your family’s language is one of our specialties, because progress at home happens in the words your family uses.
Is Cove ABA BCBA-led?
Yes. Every program is designed and actively supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and our clinical director is personally involved with every family.
What does the first session look like?
The first session is about comfort and rapport, not performance. Your therapist spends it getting to know your child — their favorite toys, games, and ways of communicating — in the place they feel safest: home. It looks like play, by design. The structured work builds from there, at your child’s pace.
Do you work with my child’s school or EI/CPSE services?
Yes — and. In-home ABA works alongside school programs, Early Intervention, and CPSE services, not instead of them. With your consent we coordinate with your child’s other providers so everyone is pulling in the same direction.
